Located just 7 kilometers and about 10 minutes from Patong between Kathu Village and the Kathu Waterfall, this rehabilitated tin mine offers a challenging 18 hole course designed by Thailand’s foremost golf course designer/architect, Dr Sukitti Klangvisai. In 1998, the course was totally remodeled and superb new club house facilities built. Now Loch Palm can truly be called a championship course.
Nestled in majestic hills covered by dense vegetation, golfers get to play against a scenic backdrop of wooded hills. Spread over a lush, rolling 160 acre hilly plateau, this challenging, 6,392 yard, par 72 course has been masterfully designed to blend beautifully with the natural terrain. More than 1,400 towering palm trees line the fairways which surround the 48 acre Crystal Lake and its 12 acre sister lake.
In addition to the new country-style clubhouse with its excellent facilities, Loch Palm now boasts a driving range, a golf school and traditional Thai massage facilities.
Visitors to Loch Palm must wear “spikeless” or “non-spiked” golf shoes.
